He attended Huntington University, studying Psychology and Bible/Religion, and later earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. He lives in Winona Lake with his wife and son, and they are expecting their second child.

Lucas enjoys going to parks, working out, hiking, biking, doing projects, following Tottenham and football, and reading.
