Wonderville

Our early childhood ministry is called WONDERVILLE, a place where kids discover and are amazed by Jesus! We have four age-specific classes, from nursery to PreK.

KidzPoint

Our K-4th grade ministry is called KidzPoint. Classes are designed to enable children to attend either the 9 or the 10:45 a.m. service, or to participate in BOTH services when parents are serving in one service and worshiping in the other. Our students will participate in worship, hear a group lesson and then break up into grade level and gender specific small groups for activities and games.

5.6

5.6 (Five Point Six) is our 5th and 6th grade ministry and is offered during the 10:45 a.m. service. Our 5th & 6th graders are welcome to join our K-4th during the 9:00 service. Most Sundays, 5th and 6th graders join parents for the welcome and singing portion of the service and will be dismissed after the worship portion to join their leaders. The 5.6 students gather to discuss what God is teaching them, how they are reaching out to their peers and how they are growing to know Jesus personally. Time is designated for prayer requests, sharing how God is answering prayers, and spending time praying together. The group also plays games and has fun being together!

New Families

If it’s your first time at Mission Point, we encourage our brand-new families to pre-register to help us ensure a quick check-in process when you arrive.
By doing this ahead of time, you’ll save time on a Sunday morning and make your check-in a breeze. We can’t wait to meet you!

For Parents

Deuteronomy 11:18-19
Fix these words of Mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

OUR PARTNERSHIP PLEDGE
At Mission Point we pledge to partner with you parents as you commit to train your child in the Lord. We know that 90 minutes a week is not sufficient to nurture the heart of a child! But we commit to partnering with you as you shepherd your child’s heart by equipping you with information and resources that give ideas for facilitating discussions, practicing service and generosity, and promoting God’s call for us to share the message of Jesus Christ with others. We will send home parents’ pages to inform you of the monthly memory verse and what your child has learned at Wonderville or KidzPoint, enabling you to have follow up conversations and implement the concepts learned on Sunday morning throughout the week.

NAME TAGS & PAGING SYSTEM
Each child and parent are given tags to ensure your child’s safety. The parent tag must be shown to pick up your child at the end of the service. During the service if your child is in need of your attention, the code on your parent pick up tag will display on the service screen to page you.

SAFETY MEASURES
Out of care for our children’s safety, we commit to following up when any questionable information is made available to us and adhere to the laws of our land. This includes, but is not limited to, following state and federal laws and cooperating when considering concerns related to a child’s welfare. We will report concerning incidents to the appropriate authorities for their consideration and assessment. As with all other areas of our Children’s Ministry, when at all possible we commit to be in partnership and communication with you, the parent, in the event anything is brought to our attention.

Nursing Moms' Room - We have a nursing moms’ room in our Children's Ministry Wing with a changing table so moms can attend to their children during Sunday mornings. The room is available at anytime to mothers of newborns who bring their child into the service with them, or to moms who choose to put their child in the nursery and come get them when they need to be fed. At check-in, parents can note the timing of when a child needs to lie down for a nap, get a bottle, etc. The nursing moms’ room has sermon video available so mothers do not miss the service while they are out of the auditorium.

Class Transition Times: Children are transitioned at the beginning of each month to their next age range.

If you have any questions, please contact Jen Nier, our Children's Ministry Director, for more information.
