Be honest. If God tapped you on the shoulder this year and said, “I want you to go!” would you go? Would you say, “YES”? Would your answer depend on where or what for, or would you be willing to say, “I’m in. Wherever and for whatever”? What might it look like for you if this was a year of the YES?
Salt and Light – Matthew 5:13-16
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
At Mission Point we desire to take this calling seriously. We want to be a place that is continually launching its people into their God-given mission. This year, we want to reach into new areas of darkness to be and bring light. We are asking the Lord to lead us into more places of brokenness and pain to bring hope and healing. And by us, we mean you?
Is there a re-assignment God has been placing on your heart? Is it time for you to be launched? Are there ways He might want you to be more intentional in the place God has already launched you? Whatever the case may be, will you join us in saying yes to Jesus this year?
On Sunday our church family had the privilege of launching one of our own. Many of us listened in as Pastor Abe Hepler shared how God has called him to be salt and light in a new assignment.
PS. He said YES.
If you missed being with us, we invite you to watch the video below to hear Abe’s story and how God is continuing to direct us as a church to invite everyone EVERYWHERE to life in Christ!

Please join us on Sunday, January 25th from 2-4pm for an open house at Lakeland Christian Academy as we celebrate and show appreciation for the ministry of Pastor Abe and Chandra Hepler. We will be collecting notes and letters of encouragement for Abe and creating a book for him. If you have a story, memory, a specific way Abe has impacted your life, or you just want to take a moment to say “thank you!” please bring a letter with you on the 25th. Also, if you have any pictures of Abe that you would like to share for a slideshow, please submit those to firstname.lastname@example.org – Thank you!
