MP Students is for students in 7th – 12th Grade and meets every Monday from 7-8:30p.m. at the Widman Home (111 Freedom Lane, Winona Lake).
The purpose of MP Students mirrors that of Mission Point Community Church: to lead these students into the pursuit of a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ by getting together for teaching and worship, to grow these youth believers by intentionally connecting them in purposeful community and deeper relationship with one another, and to encourage them to reach non-believers by practicing an intentional life by sharing God’s love in word and action.
The first portion of the evening is spent in God’s Word, discussing the meaning of a passage, what may have been confusing about it, and how we see Jesus in the passage. During the large group session, students are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of Biblical truths through engaging with one another and dissecting particular passages in a leader-guided discussion.
Students are then divided into smaller groups based on age and gender (high school boys, high school girls, middle school boys, middle school girls) to further discuss the implications of the Biblical truths on their lives. In the smaller groups, students are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of what it means to live out these Biblical truths in their lives.
The MP Students group is led by Gabe and Jamie Koser (gabekoser@gmail.com & jamie@missionpoint.net)
