Children & Students

Mission Point WONDERVILLEParents, we are committed to your comfort with the care your little ones receive so you can freely participate in the worship services, serving and Connection Groups! Our early childhood ministry is called WONDERVILLE, a place where kids discover and are amazed by Jesus!

We have five classes for our young children:
– birth to 11 months
Toddlers – 11 (or walkers) to 23 months
2’s Class – 24 to 35 months
3’s Class – 36 to 47 months
Pre-K Class – 4 and 5 year olds

Nursing Moms’ Room: A nursing moms’ room is located in the first room on the right in the Wonderville hallway. It houses a changing table so moms can attend to their children during Sunday mornings. The nursing moms’ room is available to be used at anytime by mothers of newborns who bring their child into the service with them. A mother may also choose to have her baby in the nursery and simply come get the child when he or she needs fed. At check in, parents can note the timing of when a child needs to lie down for a nap, be given a bottle or any other specific schedule need. The nursing moms’ room has sermon video available so mothers do not miss the service while they are out of the auditorium.

Class Transition Times: Children are transitioned at the beginning of each month to their next age range.

Mission Point KidzPointOur K-4th grade ministry is called KidzPoint. Classes are designed to enable children to attend either the 9am or the 10:45am service, or for children to participate in BOTH services when parents are serving on Sunday mornings or participating themselves in Connection Groups.

9 a.m. – During the 9 a.m. service we offer a joint class for K-4th graders. They will join their parents for worship, then be dismissed for class time that includes  a video lesson and application activities.

10:45 a.m. – During the 10:45 a.m. service, our K-4th graders will participate in live worship, hear a group lesson and then break up into grade level and gender specific small groups.

MP Inclusion

The Mission Point Inclusion Ministry (MPInc) works with parents to make a plan for children who have disabilities, a history of trauma, or who have recently been adopted.

We want to allow parents the opportunity to sit at the feet of Jesus for a while, confident that their children will be well cared for, loved, and introduced to Jesus in a meaningful way using using well-equipped buddies and a sensory room.  As we get to know and love their children, we can learn how best to support their family’s unique challenges so that they are freed to use their God-designed gifts within the body of Christ.

Additionally, as a result of our church strongly promoting adoption and foster care, our children’s ministry has a higher-than-average percentage of kids with disabilities and trauma backgrounds. MPInc is just one of the ways we make sure we continue to come alongside adoptive and foster families for the long haul.

Coffee ChatsCoffee Chats

Coffee Chats are our monthly support group for moms of kids with disabilities and/or trauma backgrounds. The group meets from 6:30-8 p.m. on one Thursday of each month at Wire & Steam on Frontage Road in Warsaw.  Don’t forget coffee money! Contact Becky Roman with any questions.

If you are looking for strictly adoptive or foster care support, check out our One Such Child group.

Be a Buddy

Do you have a passion for kids with extra needs? There are many opportunities to get involved with MPInc – especially through our buddy program! Contact Becky Roman, our Inclusion Coordinator, to see where you might fit:

A note from an MPInc Parent:

“It is so life giving attending a church that believes so much in INCLUSION . . . and not just inclusion of kiddos with extra care needs, but an overarching belief of Mission Point. MP Inc plays such a critical role in our sons’ Sunday morning experience, and ensures that we as husband and wife have a meaningful worship experience. We can go to worship knowing that even though our son has challenges, he will be well cared for, loved well, and we has parents will be heard. MP INC has created an environment where all children can learn, grow, and experience God! From the special check-in cart so that we don’t have to wait in lines, to the sensory friendly room available when kiddos need a break, there is no doubt that Mission Point’s entire Children’s Ministry is all about the Mission of sharing Jesus!”

Mission Point 5.6 Solid5.6 (Five Point Six) is our 5th and 6th grade ministry and is offered during the 10:45 a.m. service.  Most Sundays, 5th and 6th graders join parents for the welcome and singing portion of the service and will be dismissed after the worship portion to join their leaders.

The 5.6 students gather to discuss what God is teaching them, how they are reaching out to their peers and how they are growing to know Jesus personally. Time is designated for prayer requests, sharing how God is answering prayers, and spending time praying together. The group also plays games and has fun being together!

Our Student Ministries is for students in 7th – 12th Grade. The purpose of Student Ministries is that of Mission Point Community Church: to lead these students into the pursuit of a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The program is designed to grow these youth believers by intentionally connecting them in purposeful community and deeper relationship with one another and by encouraging them to reach non-believers by practicing an intentional life by sharing God’s love in word and action.
