The basic ministry philosophy of Mission Point Community Church can be sketched in six circles, and derives from two passages in the book of Acts.
In Acts chapter 1 verse 8, Jesus is getting ready to ascend into Heaven, and he leaves the Disciples with these instructions – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 NIV
In this passage, Jesus creates an outline for the way the disciples were to spread his message. They were to begin in Jerusalem – the city they lived in. They were to reach from there to Judea and Samaria – the two areas that made up the nation of Israel – the nation they lived in. From there they were to continue to spread the message to the ends of the earth. So with their hometown as the starting point, Jesus’ outline looked something like the image above.
